Walking In The Light Of God

Scripture of the Day:
“If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.” – 1 John 1:6-7

Observation/Application:
Life has a funny way of challenging your inner peace. But when we walk with Jesus who is the light of the world, we have the power to be at peace no matter what life throws at us. Even when we are treated unfairly, we can take the high road knowing that God is always, and that he has our backs. We can walk in peace knowing that God is our Protector. We can know that no problem is too big for our God and maintain our inner peace.

How much easier it is when we understand that we have the power of the Holy Spirit living in us. How much easier it is to walk in peace knowing that this Holy Spirit power that lives in us is the same power that rose Jesus from the grave. It is the same power that is the truth and light of the world. How much easier it is knowing that nothing is impossible for our God. We can love the unlovable. We can do what everyone else seems as impossible. We can share with others the goodness of God, and the wisdom that only comes from him.

Resist the darkness. Walk only in the light.

I call you blessed.

#Light-Only-Light

Prayer:
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your Word today. Thank you for your Holy spirit that overflows in us and your light that shines bright in us. We lay our head on your lap Lord, we cannot get close enough to you. Wash away all of our imperfections Lord. Let nothing but your goodness flow through us. We thank you for the peace that you give us today. For today is the day that you have made. We declare your goodness and blessings over our life today Lord. We seek you all throughout the day. Help us to remember to talk to you all throughout the day. Do not let our day consume us that we lose our way and our walk with you. We give you all the honor and glory and praise, in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
