Getting Our View Aligned With God’s

We can learn from everything Jesus did in his life, and apply what he taught to our lives. Even when we least expect it, there is a lesson for us in every Word from God. This is especially true when we study the life of Jesus, and it is true with every Word that came from his lips. How blessed we are to have access to God’s Word, and from the life of Jesus – our perfect role model.

Scripture of the Day:
“Each day Jesus was teaching at the temple, and each evening he went out to spend the night on the hill called the Mount of Olives,” – Luke 21:37

Observation/Application:
Every day Jesus taught at the temple. He spent his time sharing wisdom and understanding about the kingdom of God. I love this scripture because it is so simple yet so profound. But how might this apply to me today?

Share your heart for Jesus with others. Let others know each and every day who you follow. While others follow the world, we follow the Word.

Then, take time each day to get time alone with God. Jesus made it a priority to spend time with God, away from the noise and distractions of the world. We should be so wise to implement this discipline in our lives. Wake up a little bit early and read a chapter or two in the Bible. Spend time meditating on God’s Word. Pray and seek God each and every day.

You might even want to find a trail that leads to the top of a mountain near you. Follow the trail and get to the top. See if the view from the top of a mountain doesn’t give you a different and fresh perspective on God as you climb your way closer to him, and as your view becomes a little more like his.

The best things in this life are free. And nothing is better than God’s Word, which is everything pure and perfect and good. Get away from the noise and distractions, and fill yourself up with God’s goodness.

I call you blessed.

Prayer:
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your Word today. We are so thankful for all that you have done for us, and all that you continue to do on our behalf. Let us seek you first and foremost each day. Fill our hearts and minds with all of your goodness. Wash us clean. Make us new. Help us to put our trust in your Word. Strengthen us today Lord to face whatever will come our way. Lift us up from whatever it is that is burdening us. Build our faith today Lord, for our hope is in you. We know that nothing is too big for you, for you created the heaven and earth and everything in it. We surrender fully to you now, and give you all the honor and glory and praise, in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
