Removing Roadblocks, Blind Spots, and Hurdles

Are you exactly where you want to be in life? Or do you sometimes wonder if there has to be more to life than this? Maybe you are comfortable and content, and that is good. But take a minute and really reflect, and truly be honest with yourself. I’m not talking on the surface honest. I’m talking about deep inside of you, where you can only admit to yourself in private? Do you wake up full of indescribable joy each day? Do you have peace that is near impossible to shake? Is your heart full of so much love that it overflows and cannot be contained? Do you attack each day full of excitement, ready to see what it has in store? Are you wise as a serpent, but innocent like a dove? Or could you use a little more blessing, either at work, in your finances, with your health, or in some of your relationships?

Scripture:
“There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it.” – Matthew 28:2

Observation/Application:
I have good news! Regardless of what ever challenges that we face, we have the ability to overcome anything that comes our way. But it is not by our own cleverness, our own power, or our own strategies. It is not any special techniques and tactics that we can take classes on, or learn from a textbook. There is but one solution to every obstacle in our lives. It is by the power of God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ who can remove any obstacle in life that we face!

Jesus overcame death and the grave, a pretty large obstacle wouldn’t you agree? God rolled away the stone for Him, and He can roll away that stone for us! He can roll away any stone, any obstacle, any relationship trouble, any financial trouble, any cancer, even death itself.

Maybe you are exactly where God wants you to be for now. But let us never forget about, and let us never limit, the awesome power of God. Let us not limit what God wants to do in our life because we are content. Maybe God wants to do more. Let us not be so focused on ourselves to ignore that there are millions of people out there who are hurting, starving, suffering, and lost. Maybe God wants us to do more, not for our sake, but for the sake of His other children. How well are we loving thy neighbor as thy self?

No matter what we are facing, God can make a way even when there appears to be no way. God doesn’t make mistakes, only we do. But by the power of God, we can do all things through Christ who is our strength. That is the gospel, the great news for each of us as believers. And we can live the life that God truly intends for each of us when we turn to Him, truly and completely surrender to Him, and when we follow and put our trust and hope in Him!

Prayer:
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your Word today. Thank you for your continued revelation. Lead me where you want me to be Lord. Help me to know you more, to trust you more. Build our faith Lord. Roll away the stones in our lives Lord. Help us to walk in your favor, and in your Presence, for your glory, and for the divine purpose that you have for us. Guide our every thought, our every step, and every word that falls from our lips. Draw us closer to you Lord. Keep us from temptation, and from the attacks of the enemy. Let them be nowhere near, and have no power or influence over our lives Lord. Let your Will be done in us, by the power of the Holy Spirit and by the power of the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
