You Can’t Stop God
This is the famous story of how the apostles were put into jail and then during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors and brought them out of the jail. In the morning they went out to the temple courts and continued to preach. When the high priest and their associates heard this they sent and had them brought back for questioning. They stood there in front of the same group that was responsible for the crucifixion of Jesus. But a Pharisee names Gamaliel advised everyone to let them go, because history showed that these things fail if not backed by God, but if they are backed by God, there is nothing that you can do to stop them.

Scripture:
“”Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.” – Acts 5: 38,39
Observation/Application:
If is it backed by God, there is nothing that anyone can do to stop it. If is it backed by God, there is nothing that you can do to stop it. What are your hopes and dreams? Are they of God, or are they of you? Pray. Fast. Ask God to lead you to His Great Will. Are you fighting against God? You might be able to fool me and all your friends, and even your family. But you can’t fool God. He wants nothing to do with it. Remember Ananias and Sapphira whose lives were taken from them for dishonesty and lying to the Holy Spirit? Life is so much better, so much easier, so much sweeter when you don’t fight against God. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – (Jeremiah 29:11).
Prayer:
Dear heavenly Father, we give ourselves fully to you today. Help us to give thanks and surrender what is rightfully yours Lord and be obedient in out tithes and offerings. We ask that you show us Your great plan for our lives, and for Your Will to be done. Help us to be strong to stand against the temptations of the flesh, to be strong against the enemy that comes against us. Surround us with your Presence Lord, and give us strength, peace, and hope for a bright future Lord. Let your Word guide us Lord, and your Holy Spirit overflow in us. Let your good work be done. We give you all the honor and glory and praise, and we receive You into our hearts and lives Lord, in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
