Love and Action
When you love someone, be sure to show them with your actions. Time is fleeting. Life is short. We never know how long God is going to allow those we love to remain in our lives. We will all die someday. So let’s be ready for the call, in our hearts and in our conscience, so that we have no regrets.

Scripture:
“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” – 1 John 3:18
Observation/Application:
When we show someone that we love them through our actions, it makes our words believable. If our actions don’t match our words, we should ask ourselves if we really mean it when we say we love them. They should align. Like the old saying goes, “do what you say… say what you mean”. If you say you love someone, then act like it.
John prided himself as the disciple who Jesus loved. He took it very personal that the Son of God loved him. So John gives us great insight and advice on how to love others. He learned a lot about it since God is love, and Jesus is one with God. And as we walk through out day, let us tell those who we love that we love them, and treat them as if it were their last day on earth. Let us not love with only words or speech, but with our actions and truth.
Prayer:
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your Word today. Thank you for sending your Son Jesus Christ to walk on this earth and to show us the Way home to You. Help us in our failings and imperfections. Draw us closer to you Lord, that we might love others as you love us. Guide our every thought, our every word, our every deed. Help us to do more than tell others we love them. Help us to show them that we love them through our actions and truth. Amen.
