Miracles, Healings, and Faith

This is the story of the woman who had been bleeding for 12 years, and spent all of her money on doctors who ultimately could do nothing for her. She was broke. But she believes that if she touches Jesus cloak that she would be healed. And this is exactly what happens. She touches him and is healed. In Mark 5:34, Jesus tells her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

Scripture:
“because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” – Mark 5:28

Observation/Application:
There is so much to learn here in this scripture. But today let’s just consider 3 quick points:

1. FAITH – she believed that if she did “x” then “y”
2. ACTION – she acted on it, and she executed her plan
3. SURRENDER – she fell at the feet of Jesus, confesses everything, and surrenders

What a wonderful teaching. What a wonderful display of faith. When we have faith, everything is possible through Jesus Christ. Miracles still happen today. Healings still happen today. With Jesus, we can move mountains. We can change the world – right here, right now.

Prayer:
Dear heavenly Father, we receive you today in all of your glory. We seek you with our whole hearts. Our hearts are for You and You alone. Thank you for your Word, and for continuing your work in us, and on this earth. Use us for your good Father God. Help us to walk in your Presence and in your glory. Help us to hear your calling in our lives and for us to be obedient to your Will. We receive you now, in Jesus holy and mighty name. Amen.
