Running To Win The Race

Paul emphasizes that we should live our lives with excellence. To do this, we need self-discipline. It’s not easy, and it’s not always fun. But the reward comes to those who put forth the greatest effort and obtain the highest performance. Did God give us our time and our talents?  Absolutely! He created us and blessed us with all that we are and all that we have. Everything we have is a gift from God. And our gifts were given to us for a purpose, and to be used for God’s glory.

Scripture:
“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.” – 1 Corinthians 9:1-3

Observation/Application:
We were bought at a high price. Let us not waste our precious life that Jesus laid down his life for. Let us train diligently. To develop our talents we will have to practice and work hard on them. It will require sweat. It will stretch us. It will test us. But we only have one life. We only get to run this race once. Let us make the most of each day, each our each minute, each moment. And Let us give God all the honor God by respecting Him with effective use of our time and talents, for His glory and praise, in Jesus mighty name.

#Making-The-Most-Of-This-Race-And-This-Life

Prayer:
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your Word. Help us to use our time and our talents wisely, for your glory. Give us self-discipline, and help us to work and train diligently. Let us seek victory and train like our lives depend on it, because it does. We love you Lord. Help us live our lives as pleasing to You. Help us to walk in your ways, and be more like Jesus. We receive you and surrender to you Lord. Let your Holy Spirit overflow in us, in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
