Money, Money, Money
Money, money, money. Everybody out there wanting to make some money. Some people can’t get enough, while others are content with what they have. But for those of us who say that we are content, I’m pretty sure no one reading this would turn down a free winning lottery ticket.

Scripture:
“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.” – 1 Timothy 5:10
Observation/Application:
Money is not necessarily bad. Notice today’s scripture does not say that money is bad, but it says that the love of it is. God in fact wants to bless us. But the love of it can cause all kinds of problems in our lives. When we start loving money before God, that is where problems begin. Anything that we love more than God becomes an idol, and therefore a problem. The Bible tells us to love the Lord our God with all our heart, all our mind, all our soul, and all our strength, and that we cannot serve two masters. But there are countless scriptures on the blessings that God wants and has for his beloved and faithful. So let us stay focused on God, seek him first, and all these things will be given to us. And when we are blessed, let us share in the abundance that God has entrusted with us.
Prayer:
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your Word today. Fill us with your love, and let your Holy Spirit overflow in us today Lord, that we might be a light unto your path. Let us seek you first each day Lord, that your Will be done in our lives. Let us focus on You first Lord, and trust in You! Let us love you first, and not be tempted by the enemy and the things of this world. And bless us richly with thy gifts in every area of our lives, that we might be a blessing to others. We give you all the honor, and glory, and praise, in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
