Done Deal – God in Us
Sometimes we get put under great stress in life so that we learn to rely on God because that is the only way that we are going to learn it is God and God alone who could have brought us through such an event, turned things around, or provided such a miracle. What an honor it is to go through something, or to be able to witness a miracle from God, to know that He chose us to reveal himself to us, to know that he trusts us with that revelation, and to build up our faith! What an honor! Thank you God! Thank you Jesus! Thank you Holy Spirit!
Scripture:
“Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.” – 2 Corinthians 1:21,22
Observation/Application:
We can be confident in this, that God always comes through for those who believe and follow Him. This is why we can count on it. It’s like money in the bank. We can count on it. It is done. That is why we say “Amen” – meaning “so be it” or “let it be so” – an affirmation of what is to come, an expression of our faith, because God always keeps His Promises! Let us not say the word “Amen” lightly, but with belief and expectancy, lest our words be shallow, false, or in vain! God has always delivered His promises, and always will.
The Spirit of the Lord is planted in us. God is in us! How awesome is that? God created man in his own image. Wouldn’t it make sense that He put his Spirit in us, since that is His image? And as we follow Christ, and do our best to follow in His ways, we can have a clear conscience to stand boldly in Him. God set his seal of ownership on us, and put the Holy Spirit in our hearts as a deposit. Like buying a car, the deal is done. The paperwork is signed, the deposit has been made, it is finished. God declared it through Jesus who spoke those exact word with His lips. Sin defeated! God already won. The deal has been done. We are of God. So we can put our confidence in Him.

Prayer:
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your Word. Thank you for sending your Son, Jesus Christ, as a sacrificial lamb for our sins, to take away the sin of the world. Have mercy on us. Grant us peace. Let us live in peace. Let us love our brothers. Fill us with your wisdom and help us to know what to say, and what to do, at all times and in all circumstances, to bring glory to You. We love you Lord, and give you all the honor and glory, in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
