The Answer To Every Problem That We Face

One of the laws of human existence that has been proven time and time again throughout history is that lack of humility and reverence to the Lord is the beginning of the end. Kings and kingdoms have been overturned, powerful nations overturned, giants slain, and civilizations destroyed. When man does not put God first and forgets or ignores the lessons of the ages, great adjustments to power and might are inevitable.

Scripture of the Day:
“To this day they have not humbled themselves or shown reverence, nor have they followed my law and the decrees I set before you and your ancestors.” – Jeremiah 44:10

Observation/Application:
As we go through life, so often we think we have everything under control. We have success in a career. Maybe we find someone special to spend out time with who gives us joy. Maybe we are blessed with great health or are financially blessed. During these times, it is easy to not know God and even think that we don’t need God.

But God’s Word says to the love the Lord your God first and foremost, and to have no other God’s before him. That means to put God first in everything. When we stop doing that, it is the beginning of the end. Often it’s a slow painful decay, like cancer, that slowly destroys us from the inside out. And we often don’t even know that we are sick. We may not even know about it until it is too late.

While man debates the problems of the world today, most often those discussions are fruitless. The root cause of the problem is hearts that are far from God. Don’t agree? Read the bible and study history. No one of sound mind can come to any other conclusion. Hearts far from God are at the root of every problem that we face today.

Having issues in your home and in your relationships? Trouble with money and making ends meet? Complex problems at work that even your brightest leadership can’t resolve? It’s not rocket science folks. Turn to the Lord. Humble yourselves before him. For out god will supply all our needs according to his riches in glory. He provides wisdom and understanding far beyond all measure. His power and might are beyond what we can understand or imagine. And his love and faithfulness endures forever.

If your heart is far from the Lord, I pray that you come to know his awesome love and power. I pray that your heart opens up and lets the Lord in. I pray that you put your trust in the Lord, even when your eyes try to deceive you. For we walk by faith and not by sight. Be encouraged today. No matter what you have done in the past, or what you have been through, God loves you. And God promises that He is always with us. He is our protector, our healer, our strength, our defender, our all in all.

I call you blessed.

Prayer:
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your Word today. Thank you so much for all that you have done for us, and all that you continue to do on our behalf. Thank you for your wisdom that surpasses all human understanding. Draw us close to you Lord. Help us see past our human condition and know that you sit in authority above it all. Help us to realize that everything that we do by our own power and strength and wisdom is nothing compared to what you can do Lord. Help us trust in you. Help our unbelieving hearts. We pray today for those who are far from you Lord. We pray that you reveal yourselves to them. We pray that you help them see your awesome power. And we pray that their hearts are opened to receive your love. Come into our hearts Lord. Let your Holy Spirit overflow in us. Let your light so shine that we are a light unto your path. We give you all the honor and glory and praise, in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
