If we want to live abundantly we have to give. Just like a farmer would plant a lot of seeds if he wants a large harvest. The more he plants, the more he reaps. If we want to have an abundant harvest in our lives, we have to plant a lot of seeds too. We have to give of our time, of our talents, our money, our mind, and so on. The more that we plant, the more that we get. We only limit ourselves by how much that we plant. If we don’t plant, we can’t expect a harvest.

“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.” – 2 Corinthians 9:6
It’s also important to recognize that if whatever it is that we sow, that is exactly what we will reap. If we sow apple, then we will get a harvest of apples. If we sow corn, then we will get more corn. And if we sow anger and bitterness, then we will reap anger and bitterness. If we sow peace and love then we will receive peace and love. If we are sowing a bad attitude, then we are going to be surrounded by bad attitudes. If we plant positive thoughts and energy, then we will be surrounded by fields of positivity.
What a great time to reflect on the seeds that we are sowing throughout the day, and the harvest that we are expecting.
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your Word today. Help us to recognize the seeds that we are planting in our lives. Let them be good seeds Lord. Let us seek you first and walk in your Ways. We know that a good harvest comes to your humble and faithful servants. We know that You are able to bless us abundantly God, so that in all things and in all times, we will have all that we need and abound in every good work. Purify our hearts Lord, cleanse us from the inside out. Surround us with your goodness. Help us to plant seeds of your goodness, and sow them generously Lord. We give you all the honor and glory and praise, in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
